Zòyas first steps outside April 19th 2023

Zòya joined Stichting Leeuw at the end of March after she was picked up from Poland (Zoo Poznan) where she was temporarily taken care of due to the war in Ukraine.
The first weeks she needed to get used to her new indoor enclosure, the caretakers and the sounds of the other animals that stay at Stichting Leeuw.

Yesterday was another great step for Zòya! She went outside for the first time. Soon she bravely stepped outside where she explored everything calmly. She did this in the outside enclosure of Dembé, who was inside at that time. She absorbed all the scents and enjoyed the sun. To let her get used to being outside and the visitors, the caretakers will occasionally let her outside.
