Remy Lions

Remy joined Stichting Leeuw in October 2018, after he was found in a crate, in a meadow.

He was +/- 5 months old at the time. After completing our quarantine building, Remy was the first lion to use it to make sure he was completely healthy. He a macho lion. He is playful and curious. He also comes into our big hall, where he plays and also hunts, which he is very good at. In 2021, Remy was paired with Luna. A beautiful feisty lioness who teaches Remy to be a real lion.
It was a bit exciting whether Luna could move to South Africa, because there were signs of heart problems. Fortunately, after extensive medical examination, it became clear that she is healthy and could make the big trip together with Remy. Remy moved to The Lions Foundation together with Luna in March 2024.
