Muba Tigers
- Species: (White) tiger
- Born: 2017
- Origin: Hotel Resort in Slovakia
- Arrival at Stichting Leeuw: September 2021
Muba was picked up at a now closed Hotel Resort in Slovakia after an emergency call. She had been staying there since she was a cub.
They were looking for shelters for several lions and tigers, which were housed next to the hotel. The permit to keep the big cats had not been renewed and all animals had to leave before the end of 2021.
Muba looks a little cross-eyed. That is an abnormality that is unfortunately more common in white tigers. The white tiger is not a species, but a form of mutation. They do not occur in the wild. Due to breeding and inbreeding to get the white color, many white tigers have clinical abnormalities.
